A quote on your own costing, the same day.

Brand owners ask for a price on a new product or a bigger run, and the answer takes days of digging through recipes, price lists and old quotes in Excel. Frontlink calculates the quote on your recipes, purchase prices, line times and margins, and shows where every number comes from. You review and send.

How a price is built up.

One request, calculated line by line: raw materials from the recipe, packaging, line time and overhead, then the margin from the customer's agreement and a price per quantity.

What Frontlink does for you here.

  1. Costing from your own data

Recipes and bills of materials, current purchase prices and line times from your ERP. Every line of the cost price shows its source, so you can check it in seconds.

  2. Price breaks and versions

The same product in several quantities and packagings side by side. A new request starts from the previous version or from the bill of materials, not from an empty sheet.

  3. From quote to order, and back to the real cost

When the customer accepts, the quote becomes an order with the same lines in your ERP. After the batch you see what it really cost against what you quoted.

Ask Frontlink.

Frontlink knows the context of your orders, lines and stock. You ask a question in plain language, Frontlink works it out and prepares what is needed. Where it matters, you decide.

Which products from last quarter cost more to make than we quoted?

  • Compared quotes with batch costing
  • Grouped by customer and product
  • Found three products

Three products cost more than quoted: Magnesium + B6 for Vitaal Nutrition (3.6% over), Vitamin C 500 for Naturel & Co (2.1%) and Zinc 60 for Puur Health (1.4%). Overfill on the tablet press is the main cause. Shall I prepare new prices for their next quote?

What it looks like in practice.

Batch 88236 is done. Frontlink sets what it really cost next to the quote: the blend used 1.8% more powder than the recipe and the line ran slower after a changeover. The next time you quote this product, you know.

Frequently asked questions.

Where do the prices and recipes come from?

From your ERP: items, bills of materials, purchase prices and price lists. Line times and rates are agreed with you once. Every amount in a quote shows its source.

Does a quote go out by itself?

No. Frontlink prepares the quote and you review it. It goes out in your own layout and terms only when you send it.

Can we quote a product we have never made?

Yes. Start from a similar product or a new recipe and Frontlink fills in what it knows. Open items, such as the price of a new raw material, are marked so you can complete them.

What happens when the customer accepts?

The quote becomes an order in your ERP with the same lines and prices. Nothing is typed in again.

Do we see what an order really cost?

Yes. After the batch Frontlink puts the actual raw material use, line time and losses next to the quoted cost price, per order and per product.
