Odoo

Odoo and the floor, without double entry.

Manufacturing and sales orders from Odoo reach the floor with their bills of materials, work orders and lots. What was made, consumed and scrapped goes back to the same order.

Odoo and Frontlink.

Frontlink connects to Odoo through its external API. Sales orders, manufacturing orders, work orders, bills of materials, items and lots come from Odoo; output, consumption, lots and scrap are posted back to the same manufacturing order.

It suits growing manufacturers that use Odoo for sales, purchasing and inventory but still run the floor on paper, whiteboards or spreadsheets, and want the floor and the ERP to show the same figures.

What moves between them.

  1. Orders become planned work

Manufacturing orders and their work orders arrive with items, quantities and dates, and land on the planning board.

  2. BOMs, work centers and lots stay leading

Items, bills of materials, work centers and lots stay in Odoo. Frontlink reads them, so the floor works from the same data.

  3. Output and consumption are posted back

Finished quantities, used lots and scrap are posted to the manufacturing order, so stock and cost in Odoo are right.

How we connect it.

  1. You create a user

An administrator creates a dedicated Frontlink user in Odoo, with an API key and only the permissions needed.

  2. We agree on the fields

Together with you, and your Odoo partner if you have one, we decide what Frontlink reads and what it posts.

  3. Tested on a copy first

We connect to a test database first. Only when the postings are right does production follow.

Frequently asked questions.

Does it work with Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and self-hosted Odoo?

Yes. Frontlink uses Odoo's external API, which all three offer. On Odoo Online, API access depends on your subscription. We check it in the intake.

Which Odoo versions work?

The versions Odoo itself supports. We cover your version and installed modules in the intake.

Do we need to use Odoo Manufacturing?

No. If you use it, Frontlink reads its manufacturing and work orders and posts to them. If not, Frontlink works from sales orders.

Who maintains the connection?

We do. New Odoo versions are tested by us before they reach your connection.
