Excel

Excel stays welcome, not in charge.

Many orders and forecasts still arrive as spreadsheets, and some people want to keep working in one. Frontlink reads them in and exports what you need, so Excel is a view, not the source.

Excel and Frontlink.

Frontlink reads Excel and CSV files: customer call-off lists, forecasts, order sheets and existing planning spreadsheets. Each layout is set up once, after which files that arrive by email or upload become orders, forecasts or planning without retyping.

The other way round, every overview in Frontlink can be exported to Excel. Teams that are used to spreadsheets keep their view, while the data itself lives in one place.

What moves between them.

  1. Order lists and forecasts are read

Call-off lists and forecasts from customers are read in and matched to items and existing orders.

  2. Your old planning sheet becomes the start

At the start we read in your current planning sheet, so nobody begins with an empty board.

  3. Exports for whoever still wants them

Planning, stock and batch overviews can be exported to Excel at any moment, always current.

How we connect it.

  1. Send us an example

One real spreadsheet per customer or process is enough to see what is in it.

  2. We map the columns once

Each layout is set up once. If a customer changes their sheet, Frontlink flags it instead of guessing.

  3. Via email or upload

Files arrive by email or are dropped in, whatever your team is used to.

Frequently asked questions.

Can we keep planning in Excel?

You can, but you do not have to. Most teams keep an export for a few weeks and then stop opening it.

What if every customer uses a different layout?

That is normal. Every layout is set up once and recognised after that.

Does Frontlink work with Google Sheets too?

Yes, through an export to Excel or CSV. A direct link we look at per case.

Can we import our items from Excel at the start?

Yes. Items, recipes and customers can be imported from Excel if your ERP does not have them yet.
